Igor Tchiniaev is a figure skating and hockey coach.

 

He was born in Moscow. He was the student of a famous Russian coach, Elena Tchaikovskaya. He was a single skater until he was sixteen years old, when he started Ice Dancing at an international level.

 

Igor started his coaching career with Angelina Krylova (World Champion in Ice Dancing) in 1984. From 1985 to 1989, he worked with Natalia Linitchuk. Igor was the former coach of Oksana Grischuk, Irina Lobacheva, Iliya Averbukh, Aliki Stergiadu, Yuris Razgulyaev, Yaroslava Nechaeva, Yury Chesnichenko….

 

From 1989 to 1999, Igor worked in France and formed Valerie Tahar and Mathieu Bremont (France Champion Benjamin).

 

In 1999, he started to work in Canada in the group of Josée Picard with Jean Francois Hebert (3rd. National Championship), Anabelle Langlois &Patrice Archetto (2nd. Nationals), Melissa Ackad & Matheu Rainville (National Champions Junior)…

 

He was also coach of Mylene Girard & Bradley Yager (5th place for Nationals and 5th for Four Continents).

 

One of the specialities of Igor is choreography.

 

He created choreographies for:

 

  • Skaters in the group of Linichuk – Krylova,Grischuk, Lobacheva, Razgulyaev…..

  • Andrej Vlaschenko – German National Champion

  • Viktoria Pavuk – 4th pl. European Championship, Hungarian National Champion

  • Elizabeth Ukolova – Czech National Champion

  • Rachel&Dimitry Epshtein – Holland National Champion

  • David Kranjec – Australian National Champion

  • Anabelle Langlois&Patrice Archetto – Olympic skaters

  • Lina Fedorova&Maxim Miroshkin – Final Grand Prix Champions Junior

  • Tatiana Volosozhar&Maxim Trankov

 

 

Igor was also involved in many Seminars such as the ISU Pair Seminar, the Nordic Development Project Seminar, the National Canadian Camps. He also took part of internation seminars in Australia, New Zealand, Holland, Germany, France, USA, Bulgaria, Denmark, Switzerland, Finland, Czech Republic and many others...
